Product Designer

Remote


The Product Designer role is responsible for the overall user experience and design of the ClinOne Product. They are knowledgeable with all aspects of the Product, specifically the user interactions and how that impacts the overall product strategy, while using user research and good design principles to foster an innovative solution that is a joy to use. Ultimately, the Product Designer’s goal is to increase the products impact by improving usability and driving adoption.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design efforts while interpreting business, functional, and regulatory requirements to ensure a human-centered design approach as opposed to feature-centric design approach
  • Create persona, user value maps, user journeys, etc. informed by user research
  • Collaborate across the company, while working directly with Product and Engineering, to deliver iterative designs, mocks, and concepts based on given constraints
  • Facilitate learning sessions seeking to understand user issues to inform Product how on how best to deliver maximum value to ClinOne users
  • Strive to innovate and advocate for a user first design which support simplistic and intuitive interactions to meet the complex regulated industry
  • Ensure there is a scaled path to a long-term product design vision, supported by the company Product Roadmap, while supporting the near-term goals
  • Obsessively seek inputs (user, market, competitive, regulatory, design principles, etc.) to keep ahead of the needs, wants, and demands of our customers and those we serve
  • Support other areas of the business as needed
  • Maintain an up-to-date training record with the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Travel as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Interaction Design (Human-Centered), Product Design, or related degree
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience with human-centered product/interaction design, or a combination of education and experience
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), agile framework, and the ability to supplement the team(s)
  • Ability to navigate the grey area, maintaining a focus on the long-term vision while supporting short term goals and ensuring a scalable path to achieve vision with minimal rework
  • A desire to relentlessly seek end-user feedback and use it to drive a Human-Centered design approach to creating innovative, industry leading solutions
  • Drive to maintain ongoing learnings in the design field, clinical research field, and our industry and/or competitors to maintain competitive edge and drive disruption
  • Excellent communication skills, driving research through seeking clarification
  • High attention to detail and level of accuracy
  • Exemplary time management and organizational skills
  • High degree of tact, judgment, and discretion
  • Experience in Microsoft Office suite
  • Fluent with Figma, Zeplin, and/or other editor and prototyping tools to create high-fidelity mockups
  • Familiarity with GCP and FDA 21 CFR Part 11
